As you may have noticed, I have now moved my newsletter to Substack.
When I wrote Pirates In The Navy, I was thinking about my own experiences working as an innovator inside large companies.
I was wrong!
I soon learned that having innovative ideas is not enough. When you work in a large company, a large part of the work is also building relationships with others.
This insight has only gotten stronger as I have worked with innovators all over the world in different companies. Finding value propositions that resonate with customers and profitable business models is really tough work.
The work is even harder if you also have to constantly fight corporate battles.
But there are people that are good at this. We call these people serial intrapreneurs. They have figured out how to create breakthrough innovations while also working well with others.
This has become my life’s work.
I help crazy people play nice with normal people.
This is why I have moved my newsletter to Substack. I want to create a community of innovators and transformation leaders who are trying to drive change inside established companies, while also bringing others along.
Beyond writing articles every week, let’s engage in conversations where we share principles, strategies, tactics and tips to navigate our ideas through the maze of corporate politics.
